Is the blog a good educational tool, does it help to learn well, to develop knowledge? Absolutely yes. Blogging, or media literacy in general, is highly developed these days, as almost everyone is focused there. With media, people start businesses, create innovations. Media education is also one of the characteristics of developed countries. “Mkhitar Sebastasi” is one of the unique schools in Armenia, where there is media education, and students attend school with computers instead of heavy books and notebooks. This is really an advantage and it can be argued that our school was one of the first to “enter” that field.
Every student in the educational complex, starting from the 3rd grade, has his own blog, where he adds homework, materials, projects and receives an appropriate grade from the teacher based on them. I emphasize the fact that we should move in parallel with the century, that is, not lag behind, but move forward in harmony. I have been running my blog since 2020, when I transferred from a regular public school here. I very often add new materials, be they design, curriculum, individual, group, all. Of course, like all other programs and games, blogging also has its advantages and disadvantages.
We have already talked about the advantages, now let’s focus on the disadvantages, which, in fact, are not few. First of all, we must remember that the blog is an online, free and free platform, so everyone has the opportunity to explore another person’s blog. And, of course, some people like to copy homework, which is not commendable, but it is very common. Of course, human health is one of the disadvantages. you can’t work on the computer every hour. As a solution to this problem, the educational complex offers students so that they have a notebook and a pen with them for mathematics and subjects requiring calculations, so that they remember writing and do not forget, as well as rest their eyes.
A blog, even if a student graduates from school, remains forever. In other words, they can enter their blog at any convenient moment, browse, remember what interesting projects they did in the past and shed a tear for those priceless memories.
Blog, media-education help teachers and the whole country to identify new talents. There are many students who, thanks to the educational complex, become excellent specialists and workers in a new field. Thanks to the steps taken by the educational complex and favorable education, some learn new technologies from an early age, learn how to build designs, models, 3d images. All this helps the state to find a suitable specialist for each field. This is a very good way to find out who can become a specialist and how to help him.
