1. Tell me about yourself. Where were you born? Where do you live at the moment?  What have you studied?

Hi! I’m David from Yerevan. I’m 15 years old. I was born in the capital of the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan. At the moment I live in the south-west side of the capital. I have studied many things at the school and at the home, but I consider as the most important, the skill of communicating.

2. How long have you been studying English?

I have been studying English since 6 years old (at the school as an important subject), and my dream is to speak English fluently.

3. Are you good at cooking/swimming/etc.?

I’m not sure that I’m good at cooking, but I’m well at swimming. I learned how to swim in the western branch of our educational complex. I think I’m good at learning foreign languages, playing educational games, communicating with people.

4. What are your goals in life?

My ultimate goal is to be a dignified citizen of my nation and state. One of my goals is to become a good specialist of my work, learn many languages, make reliable and trustworthy friends and of course have many victories in my career.

5. Who do you admire most in the world and why?

Most of all, I admire God, my parents and I always try to be guided by their advice. I think the answer of the question, is obvious.

6. What don’t you like doing?

In my opinion, there is nothing that I don’t like to do. In general, I try to do my work with love and in such a way that it does not have bad consequences.

7. Do you remember your last dream or any particular dream?

To be honest, I don’t remember my dreams. Perhaps the most impressive one was that I was fighting against dragons.

8. Can you remember a story from childhood?

My childhood is not over yet, in my opinion. The funniest was the story when I was lost in the park and my parents were looking for me and then they found me looking at the attraction.

9. Do you remember any strange or dangerous situation in your life?

There are many strange stories. But I will try to remember a dangerous situation. In my opinion, the most dangerous situation was the landing of the plane. Years ago, my grandmother and I were traveling in the Russian Federation and in the air it seemed to shake us, and the landing was very hard.

10. Do you live in a house or an apartment?

I live in an apartment.

11. Have you ever lived in another country?

I think no, but I have visited two countries, where I stayed for few weeks.

12. Have you ever met a famous person?

Yes, I have met many famous persons, such as deputies, prime-ministers, presidents and etc.

13. How do you spend your free time?

In general, I am learning new and improving known foreign languages. But, sometimes I spend my free time doing housework, helping mother and etc.

14. How hard are you willing to work to get what you want?

I consider motivation to be the most important, if a person has motivation for something, he will try to achieve the goal. I am guided by this and if I set a small achievable goal in front of me, I will not start anything else until I reach it. But if we are talking about super-goals, then little by little I am reaching them confidently.

15. What are your hobbies?

I have always answered this question like this. my hobby is collecting stones, but now I have different hobbies: learning languages, reading unusual books, writing analysis and opinions, why not doing homework too.

16. What is your motto?

My motto, although it is not mine, it is Garegin Nzhdeh’s words, “Motherland lives with patriotism and being destroyed by lack of it.” Although it may seem ridiculous to others, but I am motivated in this way and I remember these words before every work.

17. What kind of people do you like?

Everyone likes a kind of a person who is similar to him and I am not an exception here. I like to communicate with people in which there is mutual respect for opinions, positions and work in general.

18. What languages do you speak?

I speak Armenian, Russian, English, can understand Azerbaijani, Turkish, Spanish, Ukrainian, Slovenian and etc.

19. Are you a ‘morning’ or ‘night’ person?

Both of them. At morning I’m a “morning” person, at night — “night” person. It depends on my mood and hardworking too.

20. What do you want to improve about yourself?

I don’t want to open brackets, but there are many things to change in a person.

21. Would you like to be famous?

Of course. Everyone wants.

22. What motivates you?

I have mentioned it above.

Topic for discussion

(1) What springs to mind when you hear the word ‘leadership’?

Responsibility, loyalty, democracy, group’s opinion and position, consolidation and etc.

(2) Do people automatically have leadership or must they learn it?

Those characteristics can simply appear in a person.

(3) Why is good leadership important?

Because with its help you can overcome many heights without any obvious obstacles.

(4) What is the most important thing a leader must remember about leadership?

He is not the only one.

(5) Have you ever been in positions of leadership?

Repeatedly.

(6) What leadership qualities do you most value/admire?

I think taking opinions and suggestions. What I value most is the ability to find a solution and apply it effectively.

(7) Who in the world do you think possesses the greatest leadership skills?

All have their flaws.

(8) What leadership qualities do you have?

I can’t mention them. It can say my environment. If I say it would be a bit wrong.

(9) What leadership qualities do you want or need in the future?

Perhaps the characteristics of super-responsibility and determination, humor in the moment.

(10) Are people who have leadership qualities more physically attractive than people with no leadership skills?

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter. A lot depends on human qualities.

(11) Is there always stress with leadership?

Well, every leader should learn that stress will be his best friend in many conditions.

(12) Does leadership exist in a romantic partnership?

I can’t answer. I didn’t feel or see that. But I think, maybe.

(13) Do you think people with no leadership skills have a more or less happy life?

They are people like us, it has nothing to do with it. You can be the last follower, but the first happy one.
