Coincidence is a common phenomenon. Basically, the coincidence happens when a person does not expect it in any way, does not even have any idea that two or more things may coincide after a while. Coincidence is the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by chance, but appear to be related.

The Science Behind Coincidence - WSJ

We often encounter such phenomena in our life. In my opinion, coincidence is such a phenomenon that you can expect it. As a possible example, when you earn a large amount of money, and suddenly your old friends and relatives appear, who probably only had seen you when you were young. Of course, this can be classified as a different phenomenon, but essentially it fits the topic. Let’s see the most common examples:

  • When you are simply amazed is when you can catch rhymes. You write a poem and suddenly the words seem to come out of your mouth and create a coherent composition.
  • Another very common example for me is when I’m listening to a song and singing at the same time, then for some reason I pause it, and before I start it back up, I’m able to continue the song from the right place, meaning I don’t remember exactly where I stopped, but mechanically I can continue the song correctly and after the pause I hear the same words as I was singing and I am surprised.
  • When you meet people outside wearing the same dress and shoes.
  • Or when people and things match, for example, the colors of ice cream and a person’s clothes.

Yes, coincidence is a frequent phenomenon. Similar phenomena also occur in history. The last king of the Romanovs, Nicholas II, was the cousin of King George V of Great Britain. For example, Turkish soccer player Ozil was born in 1988, when the founder of Ferrari, Enjo Ferrari, died. And it is not only interesting that the years of death and birth coincided, but also that the faces coincided.

Our life is full of such examples, we meet a lot on a daily basis, we are surprised, we try to find a connection and then we are even more amazed. Without coincidences, life would not be interesting, and history would be written in a different way.
