Summary of the “Business and advertisement” project

On Friday, March 15, there was a summary of the “Business and advertisement” project implemented within the framework of the English lesson. By the way, our performance was also attended by students of the English group of Gulbekyan High School, led by their teacher, Miss Irina. High school English teachers Yura Ganjalyan, Nune Aydinyan, our organizer Lilit Yakhinyan, interested students of different English groups and other people also participated in the meeting.

You can find both the agenda and the main presentation of our meeting-round table discussion with the link.

I will definitely claim that our project was really successful. I just have to add that each team (which, collectively, was every table in the English class) worked hard to make their work the best and win the award. Our teacher, Irina Apoyan, provided invaluable and incomparable support to the project. From the very beginning, the nature and significance of the open class was presented by me. We talked about why it is necessary to hold similar meetings in an open class format. Then we talked about the project itself, its goals, problems, important points, process, obstacles and expected result.

You can get acquainted with the project in more detail by going to Miss Irina’s blog.

After the performance itself, perhaps the most interesting and expected moment began: the advertising-video screening. And now below I will present what advertisement each team prepared for the project.

Team №1

First team included me, David Minasyan, Mari Karapetyan, Anzhela Harutyunyan and Khachatur Safaryan. After much thought, we decided to advertise our school in order to avoid unnecessary stereotypes and misconceptions.

Team №2

The second team consisted of Iren Khanzradyan, Mane Barseghyan and Nare Karapetyan, had prepared an ad about baby care. By the way, Iren’s younger sister, Era, was a source of inspiration.

Team №3

The third team, consisted of Seda Stepanyan, Erik Kakoyan and Mane Tonoyan, presented the “Smart Water Bottle” product.

Team №4

The fourth team consisted of Aren Kamalyan, Andranik Paradyan and Alen Mangasaryan, presented a humorous commercial about coffee. The students portrayed the useful and harmful properties of coffee interestingly and humorously. (Miss Irina’s thoughts)

Team №5

The fifth team, consisted of Gohar Barseghyan, Nane Khachatryan and Irina Gyurjinyan, presented cosmetics.

Team №6

The sixth team consisted of Anahit Aleksanyan, Qetrin Budaghyan, Hasmik Sargsyan, Anita Grigoryan and Sargis Avagyan, discussed the harmful properties of tobacco and presented an animated anti-commercial.

And at the end, the jurors presented their opinions about all the ads, and as a result of a fair and transparent election, which was held in the audience, the second team won. Everyone was incredibly impressed and happy to be a part of this humorous, thought-provoking, intelligent and educational class.

In the end, we had small talks and agreed that we will increase the number of mutual visits. Thanks to Irina Apoyan for her invaluable help and support, thanks for your attention.
