There are many, many schools in the current territory of the Republic of Armenia, but among them there is one that differs not only in number, but also in the style of teaching. It is the “Mkhitar Sebasatsi” educational complex, which is located in Yerevan. What makes it unique, how does it differ from other schools in the country? Let’s understand.
I moved to the “Mkhitar Sebasatsi” educational complex in December 2020, from an ordinary, co-educational school. Coming here, I was already warned that it is guided by media education, but since I did not know what media was at that time, I simply did not understand the essence. But moments later I was enjoying it. I remembered the painful days of my former school and shed happy tears. Indeed, media education is one of the most important features of the “Mkhitar Sebastasi” educational complex, but I have talked about it much more specifically in this article, so it will not be interesting to talk about it once more.
I will talk about the environment, projects. The educational complex simply amazes with the number of its trips. At my old school, I had to wait years before we could at least visit Matenadaran, for the tenth time, and being here, I signed up for several trips back to back, and not to meaningless or boring places, but also to interesting, unique and serious cultural attractions and places. The educational complex also organizes camps and three-day trips to Lori, Tavush, Shirak, almost all regions of Armenia, just for the development of patriotism and military patriotism.
But projects are another “pain”. Both teachers and students organize such interesting, educational, accessible and unique projects that your eyes and mouth remain open. I really appreciate it. I also appreciate the educational complex’s contribution to environmental protection. Students clean the adjacent areas of the educational complex, take care of plants and animals during their allotted class hours. They care about the environment.
We can talk for hours about the features and advantages of the “Mkhitar Sebastasi” educational complex, but as a conclusion, I will only mention that I will be very happy and proud that, instead of some backward, rotten schools in Armenia, there will be schools with modern education, which will introduce students to the new world and help them to enter there.
